A panel of three distinguished judges will assess
your group's performance according to the following scale:

GOLD Standard 90 - 100

SILVER Standard 75 - 89

BRONZE Standard 60 - 74

BLUE Standard 59 and below

OPTIONAL ON-STAGE CLINIC

If you choose, an optional on-stage clinic session can be given by one of the judges, immediately following your group's performance. The session (not to exceed ten minutes) will provide a more personal touch to the festival.

Each group will receive a specially designed trophy to commemorate the level of achievement.

Groups electing to compete will be considered for the Southern Star Sweepstakes Trophy. A Sweepstakes Trophy will be awarded in each of the following adjudicated levels:

I. Senior High Band

II. Middle School/Junior High Band

III. Jazz Band

IV. Orchestra

V. Senior High Choral

VI. Middle School/Junior High Choral

VII. Jazz/Show Choir

VIII. Church Youth Choir

The Sweepstakes Trophy in each division will be awarded to the group with the highest score in the Gold Standard category. A minimum of two schools must be entered for competition in the appropriate category for the Sweepstakes Trophy to be awarded.
